I’m 64 years old with 65 staring right around the corner. I mention this because I was reminiscing about my Elementary School childhood and recalling how we children were taught our Founders wanted Independence from British Rule because their government across the ocean had become way too controlling of Colonial lives in matters of Liberty, Thought, Taxation, Self-Defense and such.
One history lesson that stood out was one of George Washington’s generals – who actually stood in battles AGAINST the British – decided for reasons of greed and vanity began feeding Patriot-info to the British enemy. I am guessing since younger generations are no longer taught Patriotic American history, you may be unaware that treasonous general was Benedict Arnold.
