Citizen Tom

In the fable of “The Fox and the Grapes”, by Aesop, on failing to reach the desired bunch of grapes, the fox then decides he does not truly want the fruit because it is sour. The fox’s act of rationalization (justification) reduced his anxiety over the cognitive dissonance from the desire he cannot realise. (from Cognitive dissonance (

In her post, insanitybytes22 refers to herself as “sour grapes” (Sour Grapes). I am not quite sure what she means, but I do not think I am that fox.

Reality is what is it is. What we want to believe only changes how we respond to reality. When I insist upon wrongly perceiving what is true, I pray our Lord disciplines me (Hebrews 12:4-11). Would it not be a shame to miss out on the sweet taste of good grapes?

I like insanitybytes22, and I enjoy her…

Is This Really What You Want Taught to Your Child Conundrum? King Solomon Wisdom Blog

H/T Citizen Tom

Rudy u Martinka

“Doctors made a mistake when you were born…….”

The Chicago Tribune article titled Activists frustrated by Democrat response to Gay messaging contained the above statement being taught in Maine Department of Education the following statement:

“A transgender person is someone who the doctors made a mistake about when they were born,” the teacher says in the lesson plan targeted at kindergartners. “But some people, when they get a little bit older, realize what the doctors said was not right.”

The Purpose of This Post

Is to relate an ancient wisdom proverb for any concerned parents to discern what is being taught to their children in public secular schools in the USA and is supported by the Democrat Party.

In spite of what is taught in psychology courses on the subject of maturity

King Solomon

Then I applied myself to the understanding of wisdom, and also of madness and folly, but…

Why The Shift?

The Lone Cactus

There is a shift going on in America. That is abundantly clear according to data from the US Census Bureau. People are leaving the traditional large cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, and are moving elsewhere around the country. Now, that on the cover doesn’t seem like breaking news, does it? I mean, anybody with an ounce of brains can figure that people have been leaving those three cities, primarily for a couple of reasons. But the main question is why?

New York City lost 305,000 residents last year. San Francisco lost 54,000, or about 6.3% of their population. Los Angeles and Chicago lost more than 40,000 residents. In fact, eight of the largest ten cities in America lost population last year. The only two that actually grew were Phoenix, Arizona, and San Antonio, Texas.

I get why New York lost as many people as it did. They…

Democrats REAL Problem This November

The Lone Cactus

I don’t think the real problem Democrats are going to be facing in November is what you think it is. Oh, don’t get me wrong, you can make solid arguments for any of the problems in our society today…runaway inflation, a terrible economy on the verge of recession, wide open borders to our south with tons of illegals flowing in. You’ve also got a “supply chain issue” which I’m convinced is designed to get us to be less “consumer-oriented” and live with less goods and services. I would throw the whole baby formula issue into that mix. Joe Biden has plummeting poll numbers that if this keeps up may end up where even his wife wouldn’t vote for him in 2024.

But that’s not the Democrats’ biggest worry heading into the midterm elections.

Their biggest worry right now is Democrats. Think about it this way. What do you need in…

As If Dems Didn’t Have Enough To Worry About…

The Lone Cactus

Can we stoke the anti-Democrat fire just a little bit more? Oh, it probably won’t effect you if you’re working and you get your healthcare through your workplace. It probably also won’t effect you if you’re on Medicare or Medicaid. But if you’re one of the 13.8 million Americans that have to use the “healthcare exchange” (read that as Obamacare) to get their healthcare insurance, you’re going to be pissed come October.

That’s because the increase coming this year is going to be huge!

See, last year, Biden signed the American Rescue Plan. Basically it subsidized a good portion of the increase in Obamacare. So people that use that particular method to get their healthcare did indeed see an increase, but nowhere near what they would have had the federal government not stepped in. Well, that program expires on December 31st this year. And with inflation at levels we haven’t…

So What Are Most Americans Worried About???

The Lone Cactus

Tonight, the House Select Committee is going to try and take your mind off of inflation. It’s going to take your mind off of the fact that gasoline prices have been rising, like five cents a day over the past couple of days and now nationally is almost $5.00 a gallon (it’s $5.39 here in the desert!). And they are going to try and take your mind off of the fact that the US is literally a month away from going into a recession by definition (two straight quarters of negative growth in the Gross Domestic Product). And they are going to try and get your mind off of the fact there is still no end in sight to a baby formula shortage that the administration says they’ve been working around the clock on since February…of course, Biden didn’t find out about it until early April.

And they are going…

In face of Iran’s continued development of a nuclear capability, the Israeli Air Force has developed a new capability to be able to fly its F-35 stealth fighter jets from Israel to the Islamic Republic without requiring mid-air refueling.

The development is a boost to IAF capabilities and comes as theIsraeli military has upped its preparationsfor a future strike against Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

In addition, the IAF recently integrated a new one-ton bomb into the arsenal of weapons used by the F-35s (known in the IAF as the “Adir”) that can be carried inside the plane’s internal weapons compartment without jeopardizing its stealth radar signature.
