I have to question why is money tight for FEMA when there is so much money for student loans and the illegal aliens? Answers comments please.

COPYCAT CONSCIENCE

Is this post about Antifa? No. I have written a little about the movement (see WHAT IS ANTIFA? WHITE-WASHINGVIOLENCE), but I don’t have the time or the interest to do the kind of serious research Andy Ngo (andy-ngo.com) has done. The Bee Explains: What Is Antifa? (babylonbee.com) is probably exceeds my journalistic competence.
So, what is this post about? My bent is more philosophical. Look around at our country. Have you wondered why everything seems to be drifting into chaos? If we take the time to read the Bible, especially…

THE REPUBLICAN COMMITMENT TO AMERICA

As usual, Republicans have trouble with messaging, but they try. The less dictatorial the leadership, the more difficult it is to get people to agree on anything. Want a silly example? http://commitmenttoamerica.com/ takes us to https://www.republicanleader.gov/commitment/. Apparently, Speaker To Be Kevin McCarthy did not want the document here, https://www.gop.gov/commitmenttoamerica. I don’t know exactly why, but politics are often inscrutable. Politicians are hard to lead, and they often don’t tell us everything we want to know.
Yet Democrats don’t seem to have that problem. Their leaders put together huge bills, and Democrat politicians vote for those bills, and they don’t even have to read what they are voting for. Isn’t that great?
Of course, that is not great. So, let’s put the sarcasm aside. The Republican Commitment To America is worth reading. Please share it with your friends. That is that only way to get it pass Google, Facebook…

3 Seas Initiative Should Be America’s Transatlantic Partnership For Economic Freedom, Not Woke Agenda
By Anthony B Kim ~
Russia’s war on Ukraine makes the effort known as the Three Seas Initiative “even more urgent,” U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a recent speech via video to a related summit meeting in Riga, Latvia.
The urgency is not only for the initiative’s member nations and partners, Blinken said during his June 24 remarks, but for its focus areas of energy, transportation, and digital communications.
Crosscutting regional challenges and a lackluster commitment from Washington keep progress with the Three Seas Initiative far slower and smaller than hoped. Indeed, the issue of making the Three Seas Initiative, launched in 2015, more practically operational has gained…

How To Kill Whales With Offshore Wind
By David Wojick, Ph.D. ~
Just push them into traffic. The collision deaths would not be directly attributable to the wall of noise created by the OSW project, so who would know?
Let’s focus on the monster Virginia phase 1 OSW project, even though the other ten or so East Coast projects multiply the threat. Note that if each huge OSW project kills just one whale a year, then extinction of the 300 or so remaining North Atlantic Right Whales is assured within the projects’ stated 30 year life.
Not that these 70 ton whales will be chopped up like eagles, their bodies lying beneath the towers. Their deaths will be less obviously caused by OSW. Unlike the eagles, the “taking” of the whales will not have to be licensed, but it will still happen.

Don’t Agree With Time Mag Lefties? You Might Be A Christian Nationalist
By Matt Philbin ~
There’s a new right-wing bogeyman out there. He’s not all that different from previous reactionary monsters and, if you look closely, he’s not much different from the progressives who are wetting themselves over him.
The terror du jour is Christian Nationalism, and Time Magazine has a fascinating primer on the subject by an academic named Andrew Whitehead.
“Christian nationalism,” Whitehead says, “refers to an ideology that asserts all civic life in the U.S. should be organized according to a particularly conservative and ethnocentric expression of Christianity.” But really, it turns out Christian Nationalism is shorthand for traits Whitehead doesn’t like:
- Strict moral traditionalism focused on sustaining social hierarchies.
- Comfort with authoritarian control—exercised by the “right” people—that includes the threat and use of violence.
- A desire for strict ethno-racial boundaries around who is a “true” American, where non-white and non-natural born citizens are viewed as unworthy…

Biden Should Hold Iran’s Regime Accountable For Repression
By James Phillips ~
Widespread protests continue to erupt in Iran following the Sept. 16 death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman who was beaten fatally by Iran’s morality police after being arrested on charges of wearing clothing that violated a strict Islamic dress code.
The protests, which swiftly spread from Amini’s hometown to more than 80 cities, now pose the biggest challenge to the clerical regime’s harsh repression since the 2009 wave of protests sparked by the rigged reelection of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, then Iran’s president.
A photo obtained outside Iran on Sept. 21 by Agence France-Presse shows Iranians taking to the streets of Tehran during a protest of the death of Mahsa Amini, 22, in police custody. (Photo: AFP/Getty Images)
Mounting protests have escalated into an open challenge to the Islamist regime, with crowds chanting, “Death to the dictator!” The political unrest shows no signs of abating despite…

Conservative Students Still Subject To Harassment This Fall
By Adam Houser ~
As students return to colleges and universities to start the fall semester, they will experience the usual things that come with higher education in America: tuition bills, exams, classes, meeting new friends, college sports and … bias and censorship.
Unfortunately, harassment of those with right-of-center viewpoints on America’s colleges and universities is nothing new. It reached a fever pitch between 2016 and 2018, when viral videos of exchanges between speakers like Ben Shapiro and progressive students emerged.
Now, censorship of conservatives and libertarians on campuses doesn’t get as much media attention.
To be sure, the pandemic played a part in this, as many schools didn’t even return to in-person classes until last year, and maybe inflation and the war in Ukraine have just taken up a lot of air in newsrooms lately. But a large part of the reason is that censorship of politically right-leaning students…

Winning Isn’t Enough
Republicans are excited about the midterm elections and have been since Joe Biden took office. Democrats are worried and are already throwing down the gauntlet as to what the country will look like under a split Congress at best. According to several Democrats, nothing will get done (usually not necessarily a bad thing!) and there will be more and more government shutdowns as Congress disagrees with itself as to what the spending priorities and amounts should be.
Five Thirty Eight has the Republicans winning the House of Representatives with a 70% likelihood. They have the Democrats maintaining control of the Senate with the same percentage.
So, if that’s the case, it’s not enough for the Republicans to play defense. They need to get on offense and tell the country exactly what they will do if they become the majority party in Congress. So far, Dems have been able to control…

Charging DeSantis
If you were a Democrat, and you were facing what Joe Biden is facing with the southern border catastrophe, how would you handle it? Especially seeing how three southern border governors (Ron DeSantis, Greg Abbott, and Doug Ducey) are arranging transportation for those folks illegally crossing into out country, that don’t want to stay in southern Texas, Florida, or the deserts of Arizona. It’s got Democrats in a lather.
Now they want to charge Ron DeSantis with “human trafficking” for sending 50 illegals to Martha’s Vineyard. How dare he!
Well, he dared. But the Democrats have a real problem on their hands. The people that are being shuttled around the country after some have made a 4,000 hike to get to the southern border, don’t really care where they end up, as long as it’s in the US. If asked, “Hey, do you want to go to Washington DC?” or…
