Australian Nuclear Association President Joanne Lackenby says nuclear energy “is as safe as other low-carbon technologies” and so-called renewables, and it “meets all the climate change criteria”. “The stats show nuclear energy is as safe as the other low-carbon technologies; wind, solar and hydro, and it’s as clean as those technologies as well. It meets all the criteria for climate change, and has the additional benefit it operates continuously,” she said. “There’s a brand new program that’s come out of the United States… here we have the Biden Administration offering to help partner countries to develop their capabilities to develop small modular reactors and advanced reactors. “We have the Democratic, more left side, offering to other countries, to help develop their nuclear capabilities. There’s a lot of potential for Australia if we want to as a nation, to join this program.”
Geologist and earth scientist Professor Ian Plimer says the “climate is cyclical” as a new study claims Earth is heading to an ice age. “We are getting towards the end of the warm period, the peak of the warmth was about 5,000 years ago and we are heading for the next inevitable ice age,” he told Sky News host Cory Bernardi. Professor Plimer says every occurrence of icebergs expanding and shrinking happened with “more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere than now”. “To use the word ‘unprecedented’ shows you have expunged history and geology from your knowledge.”
Former ABC chairman Maurice Newman says the Great Reset is going to be the “segue from the pandemic”. Mr Newman said during the pandemic, the populace was trained to obediently follow instructions to stay at home and refrain from doing what they needed to do, from which there’s a segue into making sure people continue to do as they’re told in regard to the Green New Deal. He added, to pursue the Green New Deal was to pursue policies which would be “extremely expensive and draining” on economic activity.
A special senate investigation has detailed how the son of presidential hopeful Joe Biden may have used his father’s position in the White House to amass wealth and power. The Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs published the report titled ‘Hunter Biden, Burisma, and Corruption: The Impact on US Government Policy and Related Concerns’. Sky News Australia breaks down this 87-page document which examines possible conflicts of interest in foreign business while Joe Biden was vice president in Barack Obama’s administration. The report found that the Obama administration knew Hunter Biden’s presence on the board of the corrupt Ukrainian energy company Burisma was “problematic” and “interfered” in the “execution of policy” with Ukraine. The allegations are extraordinary – so much so that social media giants Facebook and Twitter sought to censor the story to stop it reaching voters in a manner Republicans have labelled brazen “election interference”.
Former White House staffer Barbara Heineback says “you’d have to be living under a rock” to think President Donald Trump has done nothing for America. “He’s created jobs, he’s created the best economy in America, better than ever, since the beginning of recorded history,” she said “He has helped people of all nationalities and cultural backgrounds with jobs and job opportunity, he got rid of NAFTA, the North America Free Trade Agreement, replaced it with USMCA. “He’s done things like ‘first step’ which is for prisoners coming out of prison and giving them an opportunity of jobs or training. “He has helped the HBCU historical black colleges and universities, giving them regular financial annual payments, which other presidents have promised to do for a bout 20 or 30 years and never happened.”
